About Mount Pleasant
Mount Pleasant Cemetery was established in 1875 as a non-profit service organization. We are a non-denominational cemetery dedicated to the respectable and dignified cremation or interment of those that have passed on.
Throughout its history, famous Londoners have been buried here. A casual stroll through the grounds might reveal such names as Dorothy McClary a niece of John Adams and cousin of John Quincy, the 2nd and 6th U.S. Presidents, or Simeon Morrill, the first Mayor of London.
Mount Pleasant is also known for its natural beauty. It boasts a magnificent landscape abundant with wildlife and rare trees.
