Obituary of Michael Edgar Tangredi

Surrounded by his family, Michael passed peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife, Rhonda. He was in his 66th year. He is survived by his adoring wife of 32 years; his sisters: Nancy and Patti Tangredi, Denise Ryder (Willy); and brother Ken Harris (Chrissy), all of London. Beloved uncle to niece Jamie Lee, and nephews: Curtis, Carter, Kyle, Cody, and Michael. Mike was a great-uncle to 7 boys, 4 girls; godfather to Myles Langford of Maple, ON; and best friend to Terry Card, who was like a brother. Mike was predeceased by his father, Mike; and his mother, June; along with his special sister, Gail (Dutch). In school Michael was an avid tennis player at a professional level. He was on the wrestling team and athlete of the year. Mike also enjoyed golfing and played baseball for years on multiple teams. He followed football and his favorite team was the L.A. Rams and he religiously cheered for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Mike was a welder by trade where he welded for the Rousey Truck Trailers. He retired from FIO in Stratford, ON, after working there just shy of 20 years. Michael's beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the Cancer Clinic at Victoria Hospital, also Dr. Hamilton, Dr. Stacks and nurse Laya, for their amazing home care. Cremation has taken place, and there will be a Celebration of Life at the Canadian Corps, 1051 Dundas Street, London, on Saturday, May 4th from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Michael are asked to consider London Health Sciences Foundation – Cancer Program.
